About Us
Heathen Leather Works started simple — with Sebastian picking up a new hobby and finding something much more than just a way to pass the time. What began as curiosity turned into a deep love for leatherworking and the satisfaction of creating something lasting with his own two hands.
Every piece is made by Sebastian — cut, stitched, and finished by hand in Montana. His focus is on honest craftsmanship, quality materials, and traditional techniques that stand the test of time.
The name Heathen comes from Sebastian’s grandmother, who often called him one — half lovingly, half exasperated. It stuck, and it fits: a nod to his independent spirit and the unapologetic, hands-on way he approaches his craft.
This work is about patience, grit, and taking pride in doing things the right way — slow, intentional, and built to last. Each piece carries its own story, shaped by the marks and textures that make it one of a kind.
Welcome to Heathen Leather Works — born from a simple hobby, inspired by family, and crafted with a wild heart.
